DESIGN MANAGER

Summary of role

You will be managing the design team as well as designing and illustrating for the John Hardy Women’s jewelry collection, being based in Bali for the first year up to year and a half to then be based in Bangkok,

Job Description

• Design and illustrate for the John hardy women’s collection, reporting to the Senior Design Manager
• Making sketches by hand and by cad as per a specific design templet and design briefing provided by the Senior Design Manager
• Managing the design team in terms of:

-Making sure all sketches are done in time as per the GTM calendar

-Designs are made according to the design briefing provided by the Senior Design manager

-Prepare design briefings and brief the Designers

-Prepare recaps from design meetings

-Assist the Senior Design manager in preparing presentations for Design meetings in collaboration with the Design admin manager

• When the Senior Design manager is out of the office your tasks will include all of the above and in addition to follow up on the wax and pd progress for the Women’s John Hardy collection from an aestetic aspect and send recaps to the Senior Design Manager for feedback. Being the bridge between PE and Design

Qualifications

• Excellent hand drawing and gouache hand rendering skills
• Excellent creative talent in designing women’s jewelry
• Being able to work with specific briefings regarding style, dimensions and price requirements
• Excellent experience in Photoshop, Cad, Freehand and Power Point
• Being very organized and precise
• Excellent command of spoken and written English is required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a team worker
• Be able to work under pressure and meeting specific deadlines
• Be prepared to travel when required
• Have a university degree in Jewelry design
• 3-4 years of design working experience in the Jewelry industry
