Visual Art Associate Trainers

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To deliver art information with the teaching of the basic Elements of Art and Principle of Design in a fun and creative way
  • To actively inspire students to learn and create interests by encouraging them to produce their own art through their own creativity and unique individuality
  • To engage students through demonstrations of art techniques, showing examples of selected art images, exposure to local and international artists, and allowing students to explore art using tools and raw materials
  • Responsible for the management of classroom, the preparation for the classes and the materials

 

Skills

  • Must be flexible in teaching the different forms of art such as drawing, painting, sculpting and printmaking
  • Skills in areas such as knitting, sewing, weaving, jewellery and ceramics are an added advantage
  • Extensive knowledge in art history and mediums of art
  • Strong teaching and interpersonal skills
  • Engaging and clear presentation skills

 

Job Requirements

  • Possess certificates such as Diploma and/or Bachelor in Fine Art or other art-related certifications
  • 1-2 years experience as an art teacher with NAC, AMIS and MOE PAL certifications or equivalent
  • Experience in practising Fine Arts
  • Possess at least 5 ‘O’ Level Passes
  • Passionate in teaching students
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly responsible

 

Remuneration

               $15 to $40 per hour
