The Jewellery Design and Management International School provides education and inspiration by means of specialized academic programs in jewellery design, history, marketing & management as well as expert vocational training in new technologies and practical production of creative, designer jewellery.

For Industry professionals, the JDMIS provides shorter, yet comprehensive, 34 hour Certificate courses in a variety of practical and business related topics.

Student Relations Executive and Sales Coordinator
Being in part of JDMIS’ Student Relations and Course activities means handling incoming calls for information and assistance, responding to e-mails received by our Students and website visitors, and making sure student visits to our school are fun and rewarding. This position also encompasses keeping in constant contact with our students by telephone and e-mail to keep them up-to-date on upcoming classes and special events they have expressed and interest in as well as coordinating their participation is these events. Our students are passionate about their jewellery studies and expect great training and great service outside of class too!
This position requires the ability to learn quickly and use a variety of media to disseminate information including telephone, e-mail, Internet, and SMS. Extensive use of the school’s proprietary CRM system to locate student information and qualify contacts for events will expose you to some of the latest technologies in customer relations.
This position is equal measure sales and service. All students coming to the JDMIS find us by themselves… but many do not have a clear idea of where to start, what to pursue and how they can make jewellery a rewarding part of their life. It is your salesmanship that turns interested visitors into eager students and, eventually, passionate and successful jewellery artisans and professionals.
As a business, ongoing registrations ensure we have the resources to continue to deliver best-in-class training and exceed our students expectations. This means that team members in this role ALL have sales (registration) targets; If you are a capable sales person looking for a more meaningful working experience and relationship with your clients this is a great opportunity! But think twice about it if you are a shy admin-oriented person who is not prepared to up-sell, cross-sell and create enthusiasm with your visitors and work towards monthly registration targets!
Candidates will:
- Be Creative, Self motivated and eager to participate the school's vision
- Have excellent command of the English language and be able to communicate effectively and confidently in person, on the phone and in writing.
- Have a fast mind... keep their wits about them as students ask questions and request information and alternatives that require quick thought and action.
- Have the character and aptitude to handle all types of customer relations situations. Perceive customer dissatisfaction as a challenge and eagerly recover unhappy or frustrated clients to turn them into our best customers and referrers!
- Efficiently and confidently operate computer programs to navigate JDMIS’ database of students, potential students, courses and products and deliver this information in real-time to your students.
- Rapidly learn course details and communicate them with enthusiasm and fun!
- Diligently follow established procedures and constantly think of improvements
- Enjoy helping people in a creative environment and take pride in your work

The school’s remuneration package includes quality- and performance- based pay ranging from S$1000 to S$2500 per month, valuable staff benefits for those interested in jewellery design; fabrication and business, and excellent opportunities for career growth in creative or managerial directions as the school expands into the region and beyond.
The JDMIS operates during the times that the majority of its students are most active. Members of the JDMIS team need to be able to consistently and without fail, participate in business activities during the following 44-hour work schedule with 1-2 days off per week:
Monday - Saturday 10:00am-7:00pm
Sunday 11:00am-8:00pm
Candidates must be flexible with their work schedules and work as a team to ensure there is always a service presence when students are in school.
The school does not have strict education and experience requirements for this position - but will subject candidates to telephone and in-person interviews to gauge personality, aptitude and suitability to work with the team. The only hard requirement we have is that candidates be SINGAPOREANS, PERMANENT RESIDENTS or DEPENDENT PASS HOLDERS.
