Digital Jewelry Designer Intern Job Description
Main Responsibility:
l Work with VectorGems founder and prototype team to create 2D game jewellery designs for VectorGems’game developer customers, using the concept of in-game characters, props, weapons provided by game developer customers.
l Work independently to design VectorGems’ in-house game jewelry using the common props in the many popular games in the market.
What you are expected to do daily:
l Communicate with game developer customers to collect their jewelry preference about metal material, gemstone, colour, style, size , polishing, plating selection etc. Provide suggestions to customers from a professional jewelry design point of view
l Draft jewelry designs according to customer preference, and communicate with customer to find out which design is the the most preferred one.
l Complete and present rendered jewelry designs after collecting full opinion and feedback from customers.
l Revise and optimize jewelry designs with feedback from VectorGems internal prototype team and external manufacturing partners during the production phase.
l Research popular games in the market, select common props in those games to originate VectorGems’ in-house game jewelry designs.
l Edit and write ta brief jewelry design story about the common props selected from popular games
l Work with VectorGems team to optimize and finalize the in-house jewelry design for prototype and manufacturing.
l Work with VectorGems team to host gamers in VectorGems exhibition booths in the world’s famous game fan events and introduce VectorGems’ in-house game jewelry designs to gamers.
What qualification you are expected to have:
l You must be a passion hardcore gamer, familiar with all the popular games in the market and have abundant experience of playing the classical hardcore games.
l You must have strong skills in jewelry design. You have a database of well categorized jewelry styles and jewelry design components.We will give an onsite game jewelry design test during the interview.
l You are doing your design on jewelry design software (sketchbook, procreate .,etc)
l You are strong in communication. You show good manner and communicating skills to talk with game developer customers (mainly game merchandise manager and game art manager) in order to figure out their jewelry style preference.
l You are patient to revise your jewelry designs back and forth when customers give multiple feedback which might be inconsistent from time to time.
l You speak English and Chinese. You can write/text in nice Chinese (as many of our customers are Chinese game developers).
l You have basic knowledge about gemstones.
What VectorGems will offer:
l 3-6 months internship. Can be transferred into full-time job after the internship.
l Intern salary SGD500-1000/month according to your jewelry design expertise (We will give an onsite game jewelry design test during the interview.)

l Weekday lunch if to work in office (specific plan pending according to Covid-19 phase limits).
l Full on-job training given by VectorGems team about game jewelry
l Full on-job training given by Vectorgems Gem-A gemologist about gemstones.
l Business visit to game fan events(Comic Con,PAX, Chinajoy, Tokyo Game Show) in the US, China and Japan (specific plan pending according to Covid-19 travel limits).
l Meeting gamers and game developer customers with Vectorgems team to widen your design vision and game industry knowledge.
l A recommendation letter signed by VectorGems CEO if you show good performance during your internship.
l Full-time Jewelry Designer position offer if you show good performance during your internship
l Full-time Project Executive/Manager position offer if you show good performance during your internship but don’t want to do jewelry design.
