Responsibilities include:

  • Execute and refine jewellery design concepts via both hand sketches and digitally rendered scaled CADs
  • Learn to custom design jewellery
  • Liaise between sales and goldsmiths to manage all made-to-order jewellery production to ensure that they are on brief, on time and meet Carrie K.’s quality standard
  • Create accurate technical specifications and renderings for production
  • Learn to create 3D resin jewellery prototypes
  • QC jewellery pieces to ensure that meet Carrie K.’s high quality standards
  • Manage certification and inventory of gems to ensure that specifications are accurate
  • Research and identify market jewellery trends

    Desired Attributes:

    • Min. 1 year work experience
    • Has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Is a good listener
    • Is honest under pressure and has integrity
    • Maintains confidentiality
    • Has an excellent work record and a positive attitude
    • Attention to detail
    • Excellent organisational skills, multitasking, prioritisation and good with managing timelines
    • Must have a keen interest in gems, learning about the jewellery production process
    • Knowledge of CAD software
    • Diploma in Jewellery Design / Product Design/ Industrial Design or equivalent
    • Proficient in following Software: Rhinoceros or equivalent, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
    • Experience in jewellery design is an added advantage but not necessary, training will be provided
